Apply for a BFI Educational Scholarship
The annual BFI scholarship application period is January 1-31. We encourage all Illinois Baptist Students (Undergraduate, Graduate and Seminary) to apply for scholarship support during this time.
2025-2026 scholarship recipients are listed below.
Scholarship funds are awarded in the following amounts:
Seminary Students – $500/credit hour (15 hrs max) up to $7,500
Bachelor/Master Degree – $5,000
Associate Degree – $2,000
Partial scholarships may be awarded based on funds availability or donor restriction.
2025 Scholarship Schedule
January 1 - January 31 - Scholarship Application Period.
January 15 - The deadline for 2024-2025 recipients to submit requirements for their Spring disbursement.
March 1 - Scholarship Reading Day @ Together Church on North Grand, Springfield - Volunteers needed.
May 5 - 2025-2026 Scholarship winners announced.
June 7 - Scholarship Awards Luncheon @ Together Church on North Grand, Springfield.

This year, BFI will award $97,250 dollars in scholarship support to the 8 seminary and 16 undergraduate students listed below. Congratulations to our 2025 scholarship recipients! Since 2015, BFI has awarded over $900,000 to more than 400 Illinois Baptist students.

The KINGDOM Impact of BFI Scholarships
Because of the generosity of donors who believe in investing in the next generation of Christian leaders, BFI was able to provide over $100,000 in educational scholarships to Illinois Baptist students in 2022.
