JOB TITLE: Accountant / Financial Stewardship Specialist

As a Christian fiduciary organization deeply rooted in serving the Baptist denomination across Illinois, BFI stands as a beacon of financial stewardship within our community. With a network spanning approximately 1700 churches and individuals, we manage over $60M across various asset classes, driving our mission forward in five distinct program areas.

Now, imagine yourself at the heart of this dynamic organization, where your primary responsibilities include reconciling client sub-ledgers and the general ledger, executing daily general ledger entries with precision using QuickBooks, and facilitating fund disbursement as agreed upon by our dedicated team. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in our monthly closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and integrity at every step.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.

• Three years of experience working as an accountant or with financial bookkeeping, preferably for a non-profit organization.

• PAY: $40,000 - $60,000 based on experience.
