The goal of BFI’s service to institutions (churches, associations, and para-church organizations) is to return value on institutional investments through the prudent conscientious management of assets that enable ministry and to assist these organizations in encouraging planned gifts from their own investors.  BFI offers several services that help you magnify the impact of your ministry.

1. •Custodial Accounts.  The Baptist Foundation of Illinois currently manages more than 100 investment accounts for churches, associations, and other organizations.  Investors have flexibility over how their funds are invested and for what term.  While fees vary depending on the asset class chosen for investment, total fees never exceed one percent.  Recommended options for faith based organizations range from Cash Management to Longer Term Fixed Income Funds.  The Custodial Funds Abstract at right gives more details including current returns and yield targets each each investment type.  Download The Account Application Here.
   

2. •Life Stewardship Promotion.  When Christian families and individuals do estate planning, the Kingdom AND the individual’s family benefit.  Study after study shows that the organization that benefits the most is the local church.  BFI will work with your church members, at no charge, to provide demographically relevant Life Stewardship Seminars that benefit both the church, individuals and families, and their broader charitable interests.
   

3. •Endowment Services.  For institutions, BFI offers endowment management with competitive returns and excellent reporting and service.  Additionally, BFI provides on site planned giving services free of charge to institutional investors who are considering a planned gift benefitting their institution.
   

4. •Church Loan Program.  BFI provides low cost construction, renovation, and refinancing loans to churches who are expanding their ministry or seeking more favorable terms.
